Our Foundation
Our Foundation
The Aaron B. Jacobs and Eunice I. Jacobs Memorial Fund was created in 2024 to honor the legacy of AI and Rene Jacobs whose passion for science and education transformed countless lives. Our mission is to support talented community college students who excel in chemistry and are ready to take the next step toward a four-year degree.
We believe that potential—not financial circumstance—should determine a student’s future. Our scholarship empowers promising scholars to transfer to accredited four-year colleges and universities, complete their bachelor’s degrees, and pursue meaningful careers in science.
By investing in these students, we strengthen the scientific workforce, expand opportunities in underserved communities, and help build the next generation of chemists, researchers, educators, and innovators.
Why It Matters
Empower Students
Scholarships allow recipients to focus fully on their studies and transfer to four-year institutions.
Strengthen Workforce
We invest in future chemists, researchers, and educators for California’s scientific community.
Expand Opportunity
Targeted support opens paths for students from underrepresented or underserved communities.
And here lies our greatest hope: a science capable of reimagining matter, and a generation eager to move it forward.
